MOVEMBER

We're at day 23 and the moustaches are truly inspiring. If you aren't familiar with the Movember campaign, read up on it. It's "changing the face of men's health". I thought this would be a good time to go over some of the most memorable moustaches in history. These are works of art in my opinion...

Salvador Dali

Theodore Roosevelt

Charlie Chaplin

Clark Gable

Martin Luther King Jr

Friedrich Nietzsche

Tom Selleck

Mark Twain

Now, last but not least, my personal favorite... the young Christopher Walken

A TINY LIFE

I stumbled across these the other day when poking around on Poppytalk Handmade. These are lovely collaged images by Susan Black. Poppytalk Handmade is a great place to buy gifts! I may try and recreate one of these for my home, since I'm on a budget. But visit her Etsy store if you are interested!

I LOVE this first one...

I'm going home for Thanksgiving tomorrow and really can't wait to see my family! We have a lot in store for the week. It's my absolute favorite holiday, so it will be very well documented! I can't wait to share some of the festivities and recipes!

SUNDAY BLUES

It's like clockwork. Every Sunday I get the blues. This guy apparently got the blues from time to time too. I love his music and this photo. Enjoy.

How do you get rid of the blues?

THE CIRCUS

On my second visit to Austin, I knew I had to live here permanently. This photo was taken at the Enchanted Forest to document why. I think it makes perfect sense.

The Enchanted Forest has since been shut down. Hopefully it is only temporary! It was an outdoor venue/hippie camp of sorts. It's one of those places that it doesn't explain well. You just have to see it for yourself.

BEFORE & AFTER

Most days I wake up with a song in my head. Not sure if I dream it there or if it's just the first thing that comes to mind when I wake. Most days it's something obnoxious, but today it was Peter, Paul & Mary "If I had a hammer". So I thought I'd share... One day I may have to do a full post on Mary Travers. What a star!

This second video is more new school. My penpal and I have a rule that with each letter, we must include an old school song AND a new music suggestion. So I thought that would be fun to do here as well.
Enjoy!

THIS CUBICLE LIFE

I argued with myself about the title of this blog. After all, "This cubicle life" is the real reason why I'm doing this in the first place. But my intentions are not to complain about my desk job, it is to create a new job for myself. So now that I've said that...

I think it makes sense to start at the beginning. Some inspiration.

My interests are far spread. There's no doubt about that. But I don't want to reveal all my visual treats at once. I haven't completely gotten the photo credits thing down yet. It will be a work in progess. Credit will be given, because credit is due!

Footnote - The following posts will be much more focused. I hope they won't fall on deaf eyes! Remember, we've only just begun!
